Selling Your Home
FAQ
Q Is it necessary to have my home staged before I put it on the market?
A Although not everyone chooses to stage their home, today's buyers expect more than they did years ago. With most people living busy lives, it's become highly desirable to find turn key properties. Buyers today are willing to pay more for properties that require little or no additional work whether it be updating kitchens and washrooms or making simple decor changes. The homes that "show better" sell quicker and at higher prices.
Q Should I hire a professional stager?
A Once you're convinced that home staging will be of benefit to you, you need a plan. For those of you with limited time, hiring a professional stager may be the best solution. Prices can range from $300 for a simple consultation & staging plan to several thousand for a plan that may include rental furniture & the necessary labor. If you can't or don't want to hire a stager, there's always the "do-it-yourself" solution. A little imagination and some old fashioned hard work often works just as well. Need a little guidance? There are many home staging books available to help get the job done.
